RingRoad Rosie's Mini Rigs & Safer Internet For Kids
'RingRoad Rosie' and Convoy For Kids Inc would like to THANK ALL of you who join with us in celebrating Safer Internet Day each year.
Safer Internet Day is celebrated by 65 organisations in 30 countries across the world from Australia to Iceland, from Russia to Singapore. In Europe, events are held under the patronage of Viviane Reding, Member of the European Commission responsible for the Information Society.
Safer Internet Day represents an effort by a global community of awareness-raising partners to promote a safer Internet for all of its users, especially young
people. It is organised by Insafe, the European network of national Internet safety awareness nodes. The Insafe network is coordinated by European
Schoolnet and co-funded by the European Commission’s Safer Internet Programme.
Among the host of events which take place, are a storytelling competition for pupils was launched in 18 countries. Other Safer Internet Day activities
include conferences, the launch of Internet literacy programs in schools, media releases on radio and television and the launch of several new Safer Internet
websites.
