TYLER'S DISNEYLAND DREAM-WISH CAME TRUE
The photo is Tyler and his dad, Brad, at the airport, not long before leaving for Tyler's Disneyland Dream Wish.

Tyler has wished to go to Disneyland for a long time, but it wasn't possible until now.
Due to a wonderful Gift of $10,000-00 from Brett and Katrina Vorhauer - the owners of Rae-Line Pty Ltd, who specifically donated the funds to start Tyler's dream wish, plus Bernard Stanfield - the owner of Combined Waste Services Pty Ltd, James Hatzimoisis - Director of Barry Plant - Taylors Lakes, and many other donors, Tyler and the family left Melbourne on Tuesday 2nd October on the beginning of his Magical trip to Disneyland.
Tyler and the family were driven to the Melbourne airport by “Silver Service Limousines”, (Aussie flags on the limo) and Eddie at the helm, followed by a ‘Red Carpet’ welcome by Ch7 & 9 TV crews at the airport.
* Convoy For Kids Inc. and the Fishlock family would also like to thank Channels 9 & 7 in Australia, plus Mike Amor - Ch7 Los Angeles Bureau, Robert Penfold - Ch9 Los Angeles Bureau, the Herald-Sun and Jay Town (for his great photographs of Tyler), for their ongoing support of Tyler and the family, plus huge thanks to everyone else who made a donation or contacted us to give your support in some way. It is very much appreciated.
After losing both eyes to a rare form of Cancer, undergoing severe Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy, numerous stays in hospital and infections, Tyler was also losing his hearing.
Tyler underwent further surgery on both ears prior to leaving for his special dream trip, to help keep his hearing. The surgery was a success. Doctor's feel his hearing loss may have been due to the severe Radiation treatment Tyler underwent for his cancer.
The operations were a success, and TYLER had great fun chatting away to all his favourite Disney characters, even inviting them to go home with him, and he said "you come to my house for a visit any time" to Mickey Mouse and Buzz Lightyear.
The rest of our WISH LIST for Tyler

NEWS UPDATE - TYLER -:
The Richmond Football Club Players, Quantum Technology, Clive Peeters Braybrook, Russell Athletic (Sherrin) and Convoy For Kids Inc, have made some very special wishes come true for Tyler's necessary Braille educational equipment enabling him to go to mainstream school next year fully equipped, plus a few other surprises.
On Tuesday 7th August 2007, Kaine, Nathan and all the other Richmond players plus some of the executive came together with Noel and Kay (Clive Peeters), and Jan Maher (CFKInc) to present Tyler and the family with:
* A Mountbatten Brailler Learning System.
* Jaws (Screen Reading Software)
* MIMIC. The Mimic enables teachers, trainers and parents, to easily and immediately read the Braille being typed into the Mountbatten.
* A Laptop Computer to help teach Tyler how to use the Brailler at home and kinder, and prepare him for mainstream school next year.
* Keyboard. (This is to support PC keyboard skills training, is useful to involve peers and classmates in Braille writing, and is the ideal teacher tool for preparing Braille materials for Kinder and school, as the parents and teachers can type text and produce Braille, and hear it supported by audio response.)
* A Headphone Set with a microphone mouth-piece.
PLUS
THE FIRST EVER SHERRIN FOOTBALL WITH A 'BELL' INSIDE.
Tyler had great fun kicking his VERY FIRST Sherrin Aussie Rules football with some of the players. He could hear where the ball went, and was so excited. Kaine, Nathan and some other players proudly placed their 'monograms' on the ball for Tyler, which also has 'TYLER' written in original Sherrin writing on it.
These items would not have been possible without the support of the Richmond Football Club Players and the Richmond Club executives, Quantum Technology, Clive Peeters Braybrook and Russell Athletic (Sherrin).
Madeleine, Tyler's sister scored a PINK Sherrin Football, and Brad (Tyler's dad), was given a red leather Sherrin Football (without the bell).
Convoy For Kids Inc extend our most heartfelt and sincere thanks to all concerned with helping sponsor Tyler's educational equipment and the other items.
Thanks to some other wonderful people and companies.

Early in February 2006, (after already having one eye removed due to a rare cancer), little TYLER Fishlock was learning to see the world through his hands.
Doctors operated for 90 minutes to remove Tyler's right eye after a 15-month battle with the eye cancer retinoblastoma.
The cancer had ravaged his left eye so badly it was removed soon after diagnosis.
Despite extensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Tyler's heartbroken parents learned the cancer had also claimed his right eye.
In a bid to stop the cancer spreading through the optic nerve to his brain, doctors removed the eye and part of the nerve in a delicate 90-minute operation.
Tyler is just the fourth child in 20 years at the Royal Children's Hospital to lose both eyes to retinoblastoma.
Reminder: If you would also like to help with Georgette Fishlock's campaign to change the Disability Carers Pension laws, or for any other enquiries, please call our National Phone: 1300 266 869 (7 Days). Georgette, Tyler's mother, and many other carer's only receive approx $48-00 per WEEK. NB: You DO NOT have to be a carer or have a child with a disability to support Georgette's campaign.

Tyler, Madeleine & the Big Red Fire truck

 |
Tyler and Madeleine (and their Safety Sami Mascots), with Jan Maher (Convoy's Patron and Secretary), at the 2007 Convoy For Kids Day, along side the Fire truck driven by Mark Ballantyne, who brought the Fishlock Family into the 2007 Convoy For Kids Day.
The TV crews (Ch7 & 9), plus the Herald-Sun team had a great day following Tyler around filming all day. He certainly kept them all on their toes.!!

A True Little Tiger Hero
|
The story of little Tyler Fishlock has captured the hearts of the Tiger Tribe.
The brave little Richmond Footy fanatic has undergone surgery to remove his remaining eye as he battles a rare form of cancer.
Richmond’s captain, Kane Johnson, and vice-captain Nathan Brown made a surprise visit to Tyler the day before his operation. They were blown away by his infectuous smile, effervescent personality and his passion for the Tigers.
*Thanks to the Tigers, Tyler and the family can attend their favourite Footy team's games as Special Guests. You will hear Tyler cheering over the crowds.

Madeleine, Tyler's big sister, is an absolute gem.
She is very caring of Tyler and is always helping her little brother.
Despite all the hard times, Madeleine and Tyler always have a very 'infectious' smile on their little faces.
