Computers can be quite daunting when you first start out, BELIEVE ME - I KNOW.
Many years ago, I didn't even know how to turn the 'THING' off when I first got 'tricked' into having a go ---"Oh, come on Mum, I'll show you how to play a game-it's really easy". Well, I thought, she knows how to use the 'THING' and after all-what did I have to lose. Boy, was I wrong. After playing a game for a while with my daughter at the helm,I was 'LEFT ALONE' at the 'THING' while my youngest daughter went to the 'Loo'. By now it was late in the evening. As my daughter left the room, she said, "Oh bye the way Mum, you have to keep moving the mouse or you will damage the Computer and what ever you do DON'T turn it off at the button or it will BLOW UP". That was fine as she was ONLY going to the 'Loo'.
After a little while I called out to her with no response. I kept calling her whilst continually moving the 'Mouse' so that I didn't 'DAMAGE' the computer. Of course I couldn't simply turn the 'THING'...OFF, because I didn't want to 'BLOW IT UP' did I? As it got later and later and my arm was about to DROP OFF, a surprised daughter popped her sleepy head into the room questioning why I was still at the 'THING'. I told her I didn't want to blow it up by pressing the 'Off' button. She just burst into hysterical laughter and said that she was only teasing me and she also thought that I knew how to turn the 'THING' off. When I asked her why she didn't come back to play the game with me, she said that she popped her head in the door and I looked like I was having such a good time MOVING THE MOUSE around, that she would leave me alone and took herself off to bed.
The time frame for my FIRST attempt at sitting down with a 'THING' took almost 4-YES-4 HOURS. Boy did I feel stupid when my daughter showed me how to turn it off. I felt worse when I found out that I could have simply pressed the OFF button and it wouldn't have blown up. But...you LIVE and LEARN don't you? This TRUE STORY has been told time and time again with abounding laughter still happening.

I eventually decided to put some effort into learning how to 'DRIVE' the 'THING' and it wasn't as hard as I had thought. Oh, I also now know that the 'THING' will NOT BLOW UP if I just turn it off at the switch. Relief.... Now I can use the 'THING' and I am designing and building websites.
